Termination and temporary suspension of a mobile number contract
Mobile number cannot be suspended in the self-service, for this, please contact us by phone or visit our store.
You cannot suspend or terminate a mobile number in the self-service – to do so, contact us by phone or visit a Telia shop.
Please note:
Upon suspension or termination, the monthly fee for the service will be calculated on a daily basis.
Arrears are not an obstacle to the termination of a communications service contract, but termination of a contract does not release you from arrears or the obligation to pay for the services used.
The final invoice will be sent in the regular way at the end of the payment period (within two (2) months, at the latest, in the case of roaming services).
In the case of arrears, a temporary suspension of the mobile service cannot be ordered. Arrears must first be paid.
After the contract is terminated, the number will remain reserved under the former owner's name for 60 days. If desired, it is possible to do a new subscription with the same number. You can do this in self-service – in the subscribtion process, during the number selection step, choose "I have a Telia number" – "Numbers reserved for me in Telia." After 60 days, the number will no longer be visible in self-service and will eventually return to circulation.
NB! In the event of the death of the holder of the contract, their contract can be terminated through Customer Service. Contact us by phone or visit a Telia shop.
Why prefer a temporary suspension?
A temporary suspension is a good solution if you want to pause the service for a while / not use the service. For example, you are moving abroad for a while and do not need an Estonian mobile number there. With a temporary suspension, you maintain possession of your mobile number and plan, and you can reactivate the suspended service at any time.
The monthly fee for the temporary suspension of a mobile number is €1.647, and the one-time subscription fee is €2.02. The subscription fee and monthly fee are number-based. When you order a temporary suspension for the first time, the first three (3) months (90 days) are without a monthly fee for you.
You can reactivate a temporarily suspended service at any time. The service will be activated within 15 minutes. Re-opening a suspended service does not incur additional costs.
