Amendments to the Rules on IT Services of Telia Eesti AS and the General Terms and Conditions of Telia Maintenance Contracts.
Telia Eesti AS (hereinafter “Telia”) is currently harmonising the rules applied to services by linking the current General Terms and Conditions of Telia Maintenance Contracts to the Rules on IT Services. Based on the amending process, the wording of the Rules on IT Services, entering into force on 1 March 2017, shall completely replace the General Terms and Conditions of Telia Maintenance Contracts, which shall be repealed at the moment the new wording of the Rules on IT Services enters into force on 1 March 2017.
The reason for amending the above terms and conditions is the need to harmonise and simplify the terms and conditions. Maintenance services are part of IT services, and there is no practical need to duplicate similar terms and conditions in different rules. By adding the current General Terms and Conditions of Telia Maintenance Contracts in the Rules on IT Services makes it easier for the customers to read the terms and conditions applied to the contract.
The joining of the terms and conditions does not entail any substantive changes in the terms and conditions for daily use of services.
The updated version of the Rules on IT Services is available on the website of Telia at www.telia.ee and in Telia offices from 1 February 2017.
The amendments concern only business customers who use Telia IT services.
The Rules on IT Services that are applied to the contracts concluded with Telia customers shall enter into force by default and automatically on 1 March 2017. A customer who does not want to continue using services on the basis of the amended Rules on IT Services shall have the right to cancel the contractual relationship without paying the contractual penalty by notifying Telia before 1 March 2017.
