iPhone Used By More Than 100,000 Estonians
Since its birth, iPhone has been one of the most influential smartphones. In ten years, Apple’s iconic smartphone has reached more than 100,000 users in Estonia.
iPhone has been among Telia’s best-selling smartphones for several years. For example, in 2016, the most popular mobile phones sold by Telia were iPhone 6S and iPhone SE. Additionally, iPhone 7 and iPhone 5S made the top ten landing on the 5th and 7th place, respectively. Taavi Ting, Product Group Manager at Telia Estonia, says that even though each new iPhone is more expensive than its predecessor, the popularity of iPhones among Estonian consumers has been constantly increasing.
“When iPhone 6 was launched, the demand was bigger than ever before. The same happened with iPhone 7. Apple has cultivated a very high sense of brand loyalty, which means that when iPhone users switch phones, they tend to opt for a newer iPhone,“ Taavi Ting explained. According to him, there are 100,000 iPhones in Telia’s network today. This milestone was reached this year, and the number keeps growing. “We see that the number of iPhone users is still growing. This year is also a little different, as Apple launched not one, but three iPhones - iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus ja iPhone X.“
The presale of iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will begin at Telia on September 22. iPhone X will be available for pre-orders from October 27.
Telia became an authorized iPhone dealer in Estonia in 2008.
