Price changes in connection with private client lease devices and Smart Wifi service

The rapidly changing business environment, as well as the increase in the purchase prices of devices and other input costs have a direct impact on Telia’s operations.

As a result, we would like to inform you that as of 01/12/2022, the lease fees for home service devices (set-top boxes, routers), which have remained unchanged for years, will change by approximately €1.

If a client leases a home service device (router, set-top box) from Telia, they will be able to use the latest device models, if requested. This means that an older model set-top box or router for home internet service related to the use of TV service can be replaced by a newer model. Below you will find information on how to initiate a device exchange if you so wish.

How to order a new device?

If you would like to exchange an older device model for a newer one, the easiest and most convenient way to do so is through Telia self-service:

  1. Log in to Telia self-service;
  2. Go to sub-section Device lease;
  3. Select Lease new device (Order set-top box / Order router or antenna).

By following the instructions below, you can order the device you want either by courier to your home or to a suitable parcel machine.

How to return the previous device?

Once the new device has arrived and has been installed, you can terminate the lease contract for your previous device in Telia self-service.

  1. Log in to Telia self-service;
  2. Go to sub-section Device lease;
  3. Click on Stop service at the requested device and select Parcel machine return.

The mobile phone number you enter will receive a parcel machine door code via SMS, which you can use to return the device to Telia free of charge. The door code is valid for 7 days. If the device to be returned does not arrive at the parcel machine within 14 days, the return order will be cancelled by the self-service and the client will be notified accordingly. If you wish to continue returning the device, you will need to initiate a new lease contract termination request in the self-service. The device lease contract ends at the moment the leased device (set-top box, router) is returned to Telia.

EXPIRING CAMPAIGN DISCOUNTS

We would like to inform you that the following discount campaigns for lease devices will end at the end of November this year (30/11/2022):

  • For home internet speeds up to 1/1 Gbit/s or up to 500/500 Mbit/s, the monthly lease fee is €0.
  • For home internet download speeds of at least 100 Mbps, the monthly lease fee is €2.99.

After the end of the campaign, the prices for leasing devices will apply from 01/12/2022.
