iPhone SE Was Top-Selling Mobile Phone in Q2

iPhone SE was Telia’s most sold mobile phone in in the second quarter this year. iPhone SE took over the top spot from iPhone 6, which was the most sold phone during the last quarter.

The top-ten list of best-selling phones included seven smartphones and three basic phones from seven different manufacturers - Apple, Huawei, Doro, Samsung, Microsoft, Nokia, and LG.

iPhone SE that was launched in April took the first spot with a substantial lead.

“People like Apple’s small, powerful, and cheaper phone. iPhone SE’s popularity was clear already in April when the presale began. iPhone SE’s sales during the first month almost reached the popularity of Apple’s flagship iPhone 6s,“ explained Taavi Ting, product manager at Telia Eesti.

The second and third places also went to Apple - iPhone 6s and iPhone 5s. Huawei secured its place in the top ten with P8 Lite and Y5.

Doro Primo 215 was the best-selling basic phone taking the 5th place.

5 manufacturers made it to the top 10 list of best-selling mobile phones. Apple, Huawei, Samsung, LG, and Sony. While Apple is a clear leader, Huawei with its two models has made it to the second place.

The average prices in the second quarter for smartphones and basic phones were €350 and €53, respectively.
