1. Ordering the Website Hosting and E-mail Service
The first thing you should do is to order the Website Hosting and E-mail Service via the self-service or through chat. After ordering, a username and password for uploading the website’s files and changing technical equipment will be sent to the e-mail address of the selected main user. After the order is submitted, no domain will yet be directed towards the new Website Hosting and E-mail Service; however, the contents of the webserver should be visible in the e-mail sent to the main user on a technical address that looks something like this: http://24443066.la02.neti.ee/.
2. Transferring your website
The next step is moving your existing website to an Telia server. This should be done by the designer or developer who made the website. He or she can quickly determine if all of the parts of the website continue working as they should.
3. Transferring e-mail accounts.
Use the username and password in the e-mail sent to the main user for the Website Hosting and E-mail Service to log in to the Website Hosting Administrative Interface at the address veebimajutus.telia.ee and create e-mail addresses in the e-mail subdirectory. Once the addresses have been created, the old and new e-mail accounts should be connected using IMAP protocols and letters dragged from the old mailbox to the new mailbox. This should be done with all existing e-mail accounts.
4. Moving a domain
The most complicated part has been done, but the domain is still directed to the servers of the previous service provider and the website still opens there. The last thing that needs to be done is to move the domain to Telia.
You can fill in application for transferring the domain (here) using your computer and send it as a digitally signed document to email@example.com.
