HD Voice ensures a clear sound when you are making a call by reducing the level of background noise. You will notice a distinct difference between standard and HD Voice when you find yourself in a noisy environment.
TwinSIM enables you to use your phone number in a second device, for example in your smart watch, car phone, or another cell phone.
The Twin Number service enables you to use two mobile numbers on one SIM card and phone: one number is for work and the other is private.

How to order
The Twin Number service is available only for residential customers. To subscribe, visit your closest Telia store.
When you subscribe to Twin Number, you will keep the SIM card which is associated with your work number. Your private number can be your old private number, there’s no need to take a new number.
Outgoing calls, SMSs, and other paid services are billed to the number which was active when the operation was made. Both numbers are billed separately, and the bill contains only these services which are used on this number.
With Twin Number, you have to enter a service code before dialing the number in order to select whether to use your work or private number.

Tip: save these codes as speed dial numbers for quick access.
If you make an outgoing call using the Twin Number service, the receiver of the call sees the number that was activated before the call.
If the incoming call number starts with:
- 00372, the call is made from a private number
- a regular prefix (+372), the call is made from work number
If you use TwinSIM service with Twin Number and TwinSIM forwarding is active, all calls received both on private and work numbers are forwarded to TwinSIM device (e.g. smart watch).
Twin Number users should not forward calls from work number to private number, and vice versa, because the phone rings regardless on which number the call is received.
Parking service can be used simultaneously only on one number – either private or work number.
An eSIM is a virtual SIM-card, which can be used instead of a regular SIM-card in smart devices with eSIM support.

SMS TO AN E-MAIL ADDRESS
You can send an SMS from your cell also to an e-mail address.
How do I use it?
- Check that you have chosen "Text" under the message settings menu. The settings may also be "Standard" or "0" (Protocol ID) depending on the phone type.
- Go to the phone messages menu.
- Write the receiver's e-mail address at the beginning of the message.
- Insert a space and write the text of the message.
- Choose "Send the message" from the menu.
- Type 159 as the receiver's number and send the message.
Good to know
The total length of the address and message text can be up to 160 characters (including spaces).
The symbols included in the e-mail address but missing on your phone should be replaced as follows:
- Replace the symbol @ with & or *.
- Replace the underscore (_) with a colon (:).
The speed of the service depends on the Internet connection but generally the message is delivered within a couple of minutes. The service is not meant to deliver fast messages as we do not operate the entire sending chain.
The receiver gets an email with a subject line "Short message from a GSM phone". You can change the address of the sender yourself. Send a suitable keyword with an SMS to the number 159.

Sending an SMS in the self-service
The price of sending one text message is the price of an SMS determined in the package. You can send an SMS by logging into the self-service portal and selecting “Mobile services” - “Send SMS message”
NB! You cannot use the self-service to send SMS messages to short codes/numbers or special service numbers.
Text message length
If “Unicode” encoding, “Full character support” or another similar option is enabled under the settings for text messages, allowing users to use accented letters like “õ” in a text message, then the maximum length of the text message is 70 characters. Also, other special Latin characters besides “õ” may shorten the length of a text message.
The maximum length of a text message using the Cyrillic alphabet is always 70 characters.
A modern cell phone displays a message exceeding the permitted length as one long text message to both the sender and the receiver. However, the message is actually sent to the network as multiple text messages of the permitted length. Therefore, the cost of a long message is calculated on the basis of the number of text messages sent by the phone.
While you are typing a message, most cell phones inform you how many standard messages the text consists of.
E-MAIL AS AN SMS
The service allows a cell phone to receive an e-mail as an SMS. The e-mails sent to the mail box firstname.lastname@example.org are sent to your phone as SMS messages.
The service allows a cell phone to receive an e-mail as an SMS. When you order the service, you get the e-mail address email@example.com in the Telia mail server and the e-mails sent to this address are sent to your cell phone as an SMS.
The service enables a GSM phone to receive e-mails sent from the Internet.
If you have ordered the service, you can choose your e-mail address(es) in the Telia mail server as follows:
- an address including your phone number: firstname.lastname@example.org
- agreed address email@example.com, where the alias can be an agreed combination of letters or numbers (e.g. your name)
NB! If you choose an agreed address, your phone can receive mails also sent to the numerical address.
No ordering fee; the monthly fee for the service is €1.62 incl. VAT
Sending an e-mail to a GSM phone is free of charge.
You can send an e-mail to a cell phone from the Internet if:
- the receiver has not blocked receiving e-mails on his/her address
- the sender's address (host, domain) has not been added to the receiver's personal blacklist
- the sender's address (host, domain) has not been added to the general blacklist of the service created by Telia
- the receiver's GSM phone allows receiving short messages
NB! When you send an e-mail to the receiver's address in the format 3725XXXXXX@sms-m.telia.ee, the sender receives notifications about the status of the message (unless the sender has been entered in the blacklist). Possible notifications tell, for example, if the message was sent to the GSM network, if the receiver is using the service, if there has been a mistake in the format of the address, if the receiver has temporarily disabled the service, etc.
NB! The e-mails sent to cell phones can be up to 160 characters long including the receiver's address. If the email is longer, the last part of it is cut and deleted. The receiver sees # (as the last character) at the end of the message shortened to 160 characters. The sender of a short message using the service is always marked as 159.
For instance: a cell phone receives an e-mail from the address firstname.lastname@example.org with the text "Trying the service".
The cell phone displays the SMS as follows:
email@example.com: Trying the service.
The receiver does not see the sender's name or the subject of the e-mail. The sender is marked as 159.
NB! The sent mail has to be in TEXT or HTML format.
The service enables to receive mails using Latin characters only.
It is possible to send an e-mail with a subject but it shortens the message. If you wish to see the subject of the e-mail in your SMS, send an SMS to the number 159 with the text "S ON". If you no longer wish to see the subject of the e-mail in your SMS, send an SMS to the number 159 with the text "S OFF". The customer receives a notification when either service is activated.
For instance: a cell phone receives an e-mail from the address firstname.lastname@example.org with the text "Trying the service" and the e-mail subject is "e-mail".
The cell phone displays the SMS as follows:
email@example.com ; e-mail : Trying the service.
The receiver does not see the sender's name. The sender is marked as 159.
NB! Telia can, at its own discretion, restrict forwarding e-mails to cell phones from various mailing lists and automatically generated mail reminders, and add them into the general blacklist.
If the message cannot be forwarded at once (e.g. when the phone is switched off), the short message sent to a cell phone via e-mail is stored at the short message service center for up to 7 days. The user cannot change this time.
The speed of the service is dependent on the Internet connection and its speed but usually the message is received within a couple of minutes. The service is not meant to forward fast messages as Telia does not operate the entire chain of sending the message.

You can configure the parameters of the e-mail GSM following the instructions below: send a short message including the configuration command to the service.
- All configuration commands are sent as short messages to the number 159.
- One short message can include one command.
- When the command is accepted, you will receive a short message about the successful/unsuccessful operation within half a minute or so
NB! Each command sent as a short message costs as much as a regular short message. The answer messages sent to the command messages do not cost anything to the receiver.
Defining the sender's address
When using the service "Short message to the Internet", you can choose one of the three versions for the mail sender's address.
- You want the sender's address to be shown as email@example.com
Send a message to 159 with the text "A PHONE".
3725xxxxxx is your phone number.
- You want the sender's address to be shown as firstname.lastname@example.org
Send a message to 159 with the text "A ALIAS".
ALIAS is the name you chose when you registered. ALIAS can be up to 13 characters long.
- You want the sender's address to be shown as email@example.com
Send a message to 159 with the text "A ANON".
NB! E-mails cannot be sent from the Internet to the address firstname.lastname@example.org. If the receiver of the e-mails has activated this address on his/her cell phone, the e-mails sent to this address are deleted without a warning.
Stop receiving e-mails
If you want, you can stop receiving e-mails on your cell phone whenever necessary. All the mails sent to you while you have temporarily disabled the service, are deleted and not forwarded to you even when you enable the service. The restriction still allows you to use the service "Short message to the Internet".
- Stop receiving mails to both addresses:
send a short message with the text D to the short number 159
- Stop receiving mails to the numerical address:
send a short message with the text D PHONE to the short number 159
- Stop receiving mails to the e-mail address including a word:
send a short message with the text D ALIAS to the short number 159
- If you want to enable the service again:
send a short message with the text E to the short number 159
NB! The command E removes restrictions from both addresses.
The personal blacklist allows you to block e-mails from a certain address, host or domain. After adding a sender's address to the blacklist, you will not receive e-mails from this address on your cell phone. Using a personal blacklist does not keep other users from receiving e-mails from this sender.
Besides the personal blacklist Telia also uses its own blacklist, including addresses of senders who have violated the rules of the service or Internet usage (e.g. senders who have sent an e-mail with the intent of disturbing service users or in a way that disturbed service users). All service users can be added to this blacklist. The senders added to this list cannot send e-mails to any of the users of the service. Telia does not have to give explanations about the reasons for adding certain senders, addresses, servers or domains to this blacklist.

Send a message with the text: “I xxx" to the number 159
xxx can be a single e-mail address, host or domain.
After sending this command, e-mails from this address will not forwarded to your cell phone.

After sending this command, the sender included in the command will be deleted from the blacklist.

SENDING AN MMS AND SETTINGS
In the Telia network the size of an MMS can be up to 1 MB. If the message is bigger, and the cell phone does not convert it to a smaller size, the phone displays an error message.
The price of sending MMS messages is calculated in increments of 100 kB.
Picture and video messages cannot be sent to family or company short numbers.
Before sending an MMS, make sure that
- mobile data connection is switched on in the settings of your cell phone;
- you have not hidden your number in the settings of the MMS as our network does not allow sending messages from a hidden number.

How long will an MMS be kept?
When abroad, you will pay the following for MMS messages:
- sending an MMS – the rate for one MMS and the Internet fee of our roaming partners;
- receiving an MMS – the Internet fee of our roaming partner.
You can send an MMS abroad from Estonia, if the message recipient is using one of the mobile telephony company services listed here. listed here.
There could be several reasons why.
- The phone’s software is in beta and contains errors.
- Sending fails because the network is currently overloaded. If GPRS connection fails, then the phone will try to send the message again later. There is, of course, no charge for an attempt to send a message.
The message is stored in your phone until you delete it. Some phone support automatic deletion of old messages.
If the MMS cannot be delivered to your phone, it is sent to your MMS account where it is stored for 10 days.
- you are using a basic phone, which does not support MMS
- you are abroad and have disabled automatic retrieval of MMS
- you are abroad and data roaming is switched off . It is not possible to receive MMS over Wi-Fi network. To send and receive MMS, activate mobile internet on your phone.
- the phone is switched off, or in airplane mode
