GSM Data and Fax
In case of a cell phone, data communication or data calls are used, for example, to raise the level of security when connecting to a company's intranet. To do so, an employee calls the modem number, the user is identified and the connection is terminated. After that the modem calls the designated GSM phone back. This operation makes it so that unwanted individuals cannot enter the network, even if the password has been leaked via another phone.
It is also possible to use an incoming data call to direct, for example, data communication solutions connected with a cell phone.
GSM Data is the most widely used data communication possibility in roaming networks.
Asynchronous and synchronous data transmission is possible with a transfer speed of 1,200, 2,400, 4,800 and 9,600 bit/s.

A static IP permits data communication with a fixed IP address mobile device over public Internet (for example, a mobile webcam, etc.). If your device does not have a static IP address, then over public Internet you can only initiate data communication connection in the direction modem => public Internet.
A static IP address is also necessary in order to ensure access to your company’s intranet.
Over public Internet you can identify users who wish to contact your computer network by their IP address, and decide whether to grant them access to your computer network or not.
NB! In order to use the service, configure your GPRS device (phone or modem) to use the new APN: static.emt.ee (previously: internet.emt.ee).
The service works in GSM, 3.5G and 4G networks.
Monthly fee €5,33 + VAT
Regardless of how many days the service is used each month, the full monthly price shall be paid for the service (including the month of signing up for and terminating the service).
The monthly fee for the service does not include the data volume for the month. The amount of data is taxed separately, depending on the service you have selected. The use of the APN static.emt.ee is taxed the same way as the APN internet.emt.ee.
With this service Telia creates a private Access Point and establishes a dedicated data communication channel from mobile packet data network to the Client’s corporate wide-area network. Mobile workers and autonomous devices can directly access corporate network resources and applications.
The service enables a Client, Client’s workers and Client’s partners to use various mobile office solutions, including secure internet access (via the Central Firewall). Private mobile communication links extend the Client’s corporate wide-area-network.
The Client’s Private network is isolated from the Internet. The data exchange is fully contained to the private communication channel, providing data security for a Client and a User. This is a pre-requisite for deployment of certain applications, which would not be used via public network.
A new APN (Access Point Name) is created for the Client. Users access the Client’s network through the dedicated Private Access Point.
The service includes a cabled connection to the Client’ head office and/or Client’s Server hosted in Telia Data Center. Private Access Point allows Client to assign Users Private IP-addresses of the corporate network. Addresses can be assigned dynamically and statically.
The service fees for the Private Access Point and Administration of access to the corporate network will be in accordance with the client specific solution.
